Steven Levitsky is an American political scientist & Professor of Government at Harvard University. For the past 20 years, he has studied democracies in Europe and Latin America. His recent book, “How Democracies Die: What History Reveals About Our Future”, was described by The New York Times Book Review as “comprehensive, enlightening & terrifyingly timely”. He will discuss the challenges facing American democracy, and will address the question, “Is our democracy in danger”?

Juliette Kayyem serves as the Robert and Renee Belfer Lecturer in International Security at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. George Church is a professor of genetics at the Harvard Medical School and a member of the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology faculty that integrates science, medicine & engineering to solve problems in human health. He is known for his contributions to the sequencing of genomes & CRISPR technology, a powerful gene editing technique that is creating a “buzz” in the science world.

Congressman Adam Schiff (D-California) has served in Congress since 2001 and is the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees the nation’s intelligence community including agencies within the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Justice, State, and Energy. He has been a leader in the investigation of Russian interference in the American electoral process. He has also been a key sponsor of legislation in Congress to recognize the Armenian Genocide. In addition to his work on national security, his priorities have included jobs and the economy, immigration, the environment, and LGBT rights.

Jeffrey Toobin is Chief Analyst for CNN and a staff writer for the New Yorker. He is one of the most recognized, and admired, legal journalist in the country, and has authored many best sellers including, "American Heiress: The Kidnapping Crimes, and Trial of Patty Hearst," and “The Nine: Inside The Secret World of the Supreme Court”, for which he won the Neiman Foundation award for Journalism at Harvard University and the J. Anthony Lukas Prize for Nonfiction at Columbia University. He is working on a book about Robert Mueller's investigation.
